Birth Rates Dept: TORONTO - Hospitals have recorded a drop in the number of babies born across the country, reversing a 10-year trend of increasing birth rates, says a report by the Canadian Institute for Health Information, according to Winnipeg Free Press. All provinces and territories reported a drop in birth rates, except for Yukon, which had a slight increase and a child nurses in Vancouver, B.C., on August 7, 2008.
