Toronto Dept: An expected 15,000 runners will race in the Goodlife Fitness Toronto Marathon on Sunday morning, with closures beginning as early as 5:30 a.m. and everything scheduled to clear up by 3 p.m, according to The Star. The main roads affected by the closures are Yonge St. north of Bloor St., Bayview Ave. and Front St and drivers beware marathons in Toronto and Mississauga spell a slew of road closures this weekend affecting major streets in both cities. The race, which is marking its 35th year, raises money for local charities, including Princess Margaret Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children.
