Chris Krauss Dept: The launch is Thursday at 7 p.m. at Excentris and Friday at 7 p.m. at the Goethe's current location on Sherbrooke St. E, according to Montreal Gazette. It kicks off with The Poll Diaries, a historical drama by Chris Krauss Four Minutes set on the Baltic coast on the eve of the First World War. It's the story of a teenager who visits her grandfather, a scientist experimenting with racial breeding, and secretly befriends a wounded Estonian anarchist. The director will be present for both screenings and the Goethe-Institut's move to the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles adds a certain poignancy to the dual launch this week of its final German Highlights film series.
