Head Scarf

Salman Dept: It was not the first time Salman's boss had commented on the scarf, according to Vancouver Sun. "She laid me off after only two months and when I requested references she either refused or gave wrong information about me. She stated that she had a plan for this company and that I did not fit very well within it." Ghuson Salman suspected she wouldn't last much longer at her company when her new boss asked whether she could answer a phone with a headset while wearing a head scarf. "I had a feeling that she would not keep me in the company from the first day I saw her because I can see it in people's eyes if they are racist. She was looking for any excuse to criticize me and my head scarf," said Salman, a Coquitlam resident who had worked at the company as a project administrator for seven years.
