Canada Post Dept: Rotating one-day strikes by Canada Post's unionized employees meant no mail was picked up or delivered in the greater Montreal area Monday as the region's 6,200 workers walked off the job. But service will probably return to normal by Tuesday, Canada Post spokesperson Anick Losier said, according to Montreal Gazette. However, it was business almost as usual Monday at the independently owned Canada Post franchise at the Pharmaprix in Place Ville Marie. That's because employees at the postal service counters - found in 150 pharmacies and convenience stores in the greater Montreal area - are not Canada Post workers. Although trained in postal service sales, they are employees of the pharmacies or depanneurs and are not affected by the labour conflict and go ahead and put that Father's Day card in the mail, chances are very good it will be delivered by June 19. "Delivery and sorting staff walked out at 11: 30 Sunday night, so we expect them back at 11: 30 Monday," she said. "This is the pattern we saw in Winnipeg and Hamilton." As
