Rana emigrated to Canada from Pakistan in 1997, staying just long enough to become a Canadian citizen before moving to Chicago to open a branch of his successful immigration consulting business and the defence team of a Canadian citizen accused in the United States of playing a crucial role in the 2008 Mumbai attacks rested its case on Monday after calling just two witnesses.
