Bill Bentley: Perjury Trial

Vancouver Sun Dept: None of the officers appeared in court. Their lawyers all agreed to the adjournment in a hearing that lasted less than a minute, according to Vancouver Sun. Dziekanski, who had become agitated and violent after spending hours at Vancouver International Airport on his arrival from Poland in 2007, was Tasered within minutes of the arrival of Consts. Bill Bentley, Kwesi Millington, Gerry Rundel and Cpl. Benjamin Robinson and the perjury trial for four RCMP officers charged in Robert Dziekanski's Taser-related death was adjourned Wednesday morning in B.C. Supreme Court until Aug. 31. The lawyers told court they needed more time to prepare. As reported in the news.
