Amy Chua Dept: There was major fallout when the Wall Street Journal published an essay excerpted from the book in January under the headline "Why Chinese Mothers Are Superior," detailing the tough words and strict methods Chua used in rearing her two daughters, Sophia and Louisa, according to CTV. In an email to The Canadian Press following a speech in Toronto, Chua wrote that she would have not allowed the excerpt to be published under "that misleading headline" and said she is still doing damage control. "I never saw that headline and never agreed with it. In fact, the cover of my book says exactly the opposite," she told an audience during her address as part of the Donner Canadian Foundation Lecture Series and tORONTO Yale law professor Amy Chua admits she has many regrets, but writing her bestselling memoir "Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother" is not one of them.
