Members Of Congress Dept: The U.S. president issued his compliment two years ago during an official visit to Ottawa, according to Vancouver Sun. A bright spot, reports Institute senior fellow Alexander Moens, is that "Canada enjoys widespread support and goodwill on matters related to energy and the environment." Barack Obama may believe Canada is "one of the most impressive countries in the world," but that's not necessarily the opinion of the American branch of government that really counts. But on Tuesday the Vancouver-based Fraser Institute released a study showing members of Congress hold critical views of Canada in relation to everything from border security to health care north of the 49th parallel.
