Immigration Minister Dept: The allegations centre on a CBC report that says Gill, a private citizen, was able to fast-track visa applications for family of residents in Dhalla's hotly contested riding of Brampton-Springdale, northwest of Toronto, according to Calgary Herald. Ontario Liberal incumbent Ruby Dhalla says the auditor general should investigate whether Tory rival Parm Gill received "special access" to the immigration minister on behalf of some of her constituents in an apparent vote grab. Dhalla says Gill, a local businessman, passed himself off as an "official delegate" of Immigration Minister Jason Kenney. According to reports, Dhalla says some of the visa requests she had submitted for constituents were approved before she was informed -with Gill delivering the good news instead.
