Immigration Policies: Economic Class

Newcomers Dept: Premier Dalton McGuinty says the federal government's immigration policies are tilted in favour of Manitoba, B.C. and Quebec, according to CTV. McGuinty says Ottawa can't justify having one set of rules for immigrants in some parts of Canada and another set of rules for Ontario and tORONTO — Ontario wants a better deal on immigration from the federal government. He says each of those provinces has more control over immigration than Ontario, which, for example, wants more economic class immigrants and fewer family class newcomers. As reported in the news.
