Bystanders Dept: The 66-year-old and the six-yearold girl were struck at a crosswalk at 128th Street and 122nd Avenue just before 8: 30 a.m, according to Vancouver Sun. The incident happened several vehicles in front of Employment and Immigration Minister Thomas Lukaszuk as he was driving his daughters to school and day care. He said the woman attempted to push her granddaughter out of the way of the SUV just before both were hit. Lukaszuk and other bystanders rushed to help the woman and child, administering first aid until paramedics arrived and a woman was hit and killed by a vehicle while walking her greatgranddaughter to school Thursday morning.
