Rsquo Dept: Mr. Harper’s spending much of the rest of this week blitzing key Ontario battle grounds ridings before the leader’s tour throttles down to prepare for the April 12 and April 14 TV debates, according to Globe And Mail. Here, Conservative Paul Calandra won the 2008 election by less than 550 votes in a constituency where more than 40 per cent of the population are immigrants, many of them of Chinese descent and the Conservative Leader will announce that if re-elected the Tories would lend money to recent immigrants so they can afford the skills training or upgrading required before their credentials can be recognized in Canada. He starts Wednesday in the suburbs north of Toronto to help shore up the Tory incumbent in the riding of Oak Ridges-Markham. As reported in the news.
