Canadian Heritage: Heritage Centre

Centre Director Dept: Ottawa's Chinese Community Service Centre will host an all-candidates' debate Saturday for Ottawa Centre with a strong focus on immigration. It runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Chinese Canadian Heritage Centre at 397 Kent St, according to CBC. "I don't want them to support one community and not the other, because at the end of the day we all work together, it affects all of us," said Kan and as federal parties campaign with an eye towards ethnic communities across Ottawa, some communities are likewise trying to capture the attention of the parties. Centre director Sharon Kan said that as people integrate, their concerns tend to merge with the mainstream, while newcomers face the same problems, wherever they come from. As reported in the news.
