Electorate Dept: Apathy is too facile a description of the mood and discontent of the Canadian electorate. The reality would seem to require many and varying descriptors: indifferent, distrustful, tired, confused, angry, disenchanted and so on, according to The Star. Somehow all the preparations with input from individuals, organizations, party insiders and pollsters has energized the voters in ways that were not anticipated.
