Majority Government: Liberal Leader

Michael Ignatieff Dept: "This country will not be frightened, intimidated and bullied into giving this guy another lease on life," Ignatieff told a cheering rally here Tuesday night. "Tonight he gave a speech in Winnipeg which basically said, 'Give us a majority or bust,' " Ignatieff said of Harper and vANCOUVER Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff heaped scorn on Stephen Harper's warning that the Conservatives won't survive in power after the election unless Canadians give him a majority government. He was reacting to Harper's comment in Winnipeg that he needs a majority to prevent the Liberals, NDP and Bloc Quebecois from joining in a coalition to oust the Conservative government. Harper has continued to raise this concern even though Ignatieff has explicitly ruled out forming a post-election coalition. As reported in the news.
