Federal Penitentiary: Devastating Earthquake

Haitian Man Dept: That's because Eloi hasn't set foot in this country as a free man. Eloi, currently incarcerated in a federal penitentiary, has the unique distinction of having been convicted in two drug trafficking cases in Canada despite never having a fixed address here. And for the time being, because of a Canadian moratorium on deportations to Haiti, Eloi has nowhere to go. The moratorium was put in place shortly after last year's devastating earthquake in Haiti, according to Montreal Gazette. According to a summary of the board's decision to deny day parole, Eloi left Haiti in 2005 with an altered passport and lived under a false name in the U.S. for several months and jaccin Eloi is a 37-year-old Haitian man who has lived in Canada for almost five years and has yet to go anywhere touristy. The National Parole Board recently turned down Eloi for both day and full parole as he continues to serve the combined 90-month sentence he accumulated. As reported in the news.
