South Of The Border Dept: According to an annual survey by the Washington-based Transatlantic Trends , Canada may be the most welcoming country to immigrants, but support is waning, according to The Star. That percentage was marginally higher than the 25 per cent reported in 2009, which some attributed to public outrage over the arrival of 500 Tamil refugees in a cargo ship in Vancouver and media reports on immigration and asylum frauds last year and two-thirds of Canadians believe immigrants are integrating well into society, but only 45 per cent feel that about the growing Muslim population, says a new study.
