Ugandan Capital: Kampala

Campaigner Dept: Brenda Namigadde said she would be prosecuted if she returned to Uganda, where gay sex is illegal, according to Montreal Gazette. Her claim comes after David Kato, a gay activist, was beaten to death in the Ugandan capital Kampala on Wednesday after his name and picture were published in a homophobic newspaper and aUgandanwoman who says she is a lesbian said yesterday she fears she will be killed if she is deported from Britain to her home country, in the wake of the murder of a male gay rights campaigner. A judge in Britain has ruled that Namigadde is not homosexual and Britain's Home Office, or interior ministry, has hitherto rejected her attempts to remain in the country. As reported in the news.
