Kent spent 40 years working as a broadcast journalist in Canada, the U.S. and abroad as a writer, reporter, anchor and producer. He is a member of the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame, according to CBC. During last year's G20 summit in Toronto, Kent was one of several Tories who defended the $2 million dollar lake built for the press.
