Emergency Crews: S South

Industries Limited Dept: Emergency crews were called to a construction site near 88 Street and Savaryn Drive, just south of Ellerslie Road around 1p.m, according to CTV. A spokesperson with the province says the young worker died after he was struck by a piece of steel and a 23-year-old man has died in a workplace accident on the city's south side. The young man, who officials say was to celebrate his 24th birthday Friday, was an iron worker with Island Industries Limited working at a school under construction. As reported in the news.
