Atlantic Canada Opportunities: New Brunswick

Fredericton Dept: Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency Minister Keith Ashfield announced $1.2 million on Thursday to fund a program that will help foreign professionals get their credentials to work in New Brunswick, according to CBC. Phat Nguyen arrived in Fredericton from Vietnam six months ago and the architect is still waiting to be cleared to work in New Brunswick and the federal and New Brunswick governments are rolling out a new program designed to speed up the process of getting foreign professionals working in the province faster. The new project is intended to get highly-trained immigrants working in their fields of expertise instead of settling for minimum wage jobs in Canada. As reported in the news.
