Jean Charest: Angus Reid

New Democratic Party Dept: In the poll, Quebec's premier had an approval rating of only 14 per cent among voters in his province and 12 per cent among French-speaking ones , according to Montreal Gazette. Coincidentally, Marois's numbers in the poll were exactly the same as those of another province's opposition leader, Carole James of British Columbia. Last Monday, James was forced out as leader of the New Democratic Party by a revolt in her caucus and last week, Jean Charest was confirmed as the country's least popular premier with the release of a poll conducted across Canada in November by Angus Reid Public Opinion. But Charest's opposite number didn't fare much better. In previously unpublished results of the same survey, only 25 per cent of Quebec voters approved of Pauline Marois's performance as leader of the Parti Quebecois official opposition. Twice as many disapproved. As reported in the news.
