Statscan Dept: According to StatsCan's most recent demographic estimates, a total of 13,218 immigrants arrived in B.C. between July and September this year, according to Vancouver Sun. Thomas Tam, chief executive officer of the immigrant-services group SUCCESS, said StatsCan's figures reflect what his agency is seeing on the ground and more immigrants arrived in B.C. last summer than in any three-month period in more than a decade, according to figures released Wednesday by Statistics Canada.
