Baqi: Daniel Garcia

Guardianship Dept: The lawyer, Karin Baqi, says Garcia could still be deported even if he's released from custody, according to CTV. They filed for refugee status, saying they were persecuted in Mexico because Brenda Garcia is gay, but their claim was rejected and a lawyer who has spoken to Daniel Garcia says the 18-year-old is scheduled to have his detention reviewed at a hearing today. Garcia came to Canada in 2007 under guardianship of his sister, Brenda Garcia. As reported in the news.
