Travelling In Europe: Security Precautions

Extra Security Dept: Foreign Affairs said it is monitoring the situation in Europe after the U.S. State Department issued a travel alert early Sunday morning, urging U.S. citizens to take extra security precautions and be vigilant in public places, according to CTV. Early Sunday, U.S. officials issued a travel alert, advising Americans travelling in Europe to remain on alert for a potential terrorist attack against U.S. and European citizens and the Department of Foreign Affairs is advising Canadians travelling in Europe to be aware of their surroundings and take precautions to ensure their safety, after U.S. officials warned Americans of potential terrorist attacks on the continent. Ottawa issued a similar alert, advising Canadians in Europe to monitor local news reports and follow the advice of local officials. Canadians are also encouraged to register with the Registration of Canadians Abroad service in order to access up-to-date advice. As reported in the news.
