Parti Quebecois: L Immigration

Visible Minorities Dept: Parti Quebecois leader Pauline Marois states that the province is having " a lot of difficulty integrating the 50,000 immigrants coming to Quebec annually" and deplores the fact the "the language situation in Montreal is deteriorating.", according to Montreal Gazette. If by "the language situation in Montreal is deteriorating" she means that for the first time in a long time, francophones make up less than 50 per cent of the city's population, it's simply due to the fact that more and more francophones are abandoning Montreal because of the burdensome tax rate and because they don't want to live among the Latinos, Arabs, Asians, and other visible minorities. But of course neither Marois nor Curzi will ever admit the truth and re: "Marois pledges to abolish Bill 115 when the PQ takes power" Gazette, Oct. 19 . She and PQ language critic Pierre Curzi should enlighten themselves by reading the Quebec government's Bulletin statistique sur l'immigration au Quebec. It clearly states that 65.3 per cent of immigrants admitted to Quebec in the first six months of 2010 spoke French in 2009 it was slightly lower at 63.8 per cent . Ironically only 15.3 per cent of immigrants spoke English in 2010? As reported in the news.
