Michael Ignatieff Dept: In the most notable move, Charest named Jean-Marc Fournier as Quebec's new justice minister even though he still has to face a byelection to get elected to the legislature, according to CBC. Charest welcomed Fournier back into the fold at a news conference Monday. On Wednesday, the premier saddled him with the justice job as well as the functions of democratic reform and house leader and premier Jean Charest poses with the members of his new cabinet Wednesday at the National Assembly. Cl ment Allard/Canadian Press Premier Jean Charest tweaked his cabinet lineup Wednesday, shuffling a handful of mostly veteran ministers into new portfolios and bringing in a former star who'd been plying his trade in Ottawa. Fournier, a former cabinet minister, had quit provincial politics and until this week was working as an adviser to federal Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff. As reported in the news.
