Immigration Lawyer: Citizenship Applications

Board Chair Dept: ---, according to Montreal Gazette. --- A recipe for mushroom burgers with barley that appeared in yesterday's Gazette was described as gluten-free. In fact, barley contains gluten -and so the recipe is not gluten-free. In a Postmedia News story on immigration, which appeared in The Gazette on July 22, criticism of how citizenship applications are processed in Canada was erroneously attributed to the Canadian Bar Association. The statements by immigration lawyer David Matas, a board member and a former board chair of the CBA, were his personal views, not those of the association. The CBA says it is studying the issue and has not yet reached a conclusion. As reported in the news.
