Manhunt Dept: Elvir Pobric, 38, will stay in detention until his next hearing May 21, Geoff Rempel, the Immigration and Refugee Board adjudicator, ruled via video conference from Vancouver. In 1992, Pobric escaped from the Bosnian prison where he was serving 20 years for robbing and killing two men. He became the subject of an international manhunt before he was arrested in Calgary in May 2009. A man convicted of murder in Bosnia almost 20 years ago must stay behind bars while he awaits deportation to that country, an immigration board decided Monday in Calgary.
