university avenue: The event will cover an eight-kilometre stretch between Sandwich Street, University Avenue West, Wyandotte Street East and Drouillard Road, according to CTV. Event organizers are looking for volunteers, organizations, and businesses to contribute their ideas and activities for various hubs set up along the route. The festival will take place on Sept. 17, 2017, with new, extended hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. New this year, Open Streets has dedicated an entire zone to Ontario's 150th Anniversary in recognition of the history and diversity in the community. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about how 3D printing is used to create a model of the provincial flower- the Trillium.
