maude life: Maude Lewis's life has been the subject of a documentary and stage play, according to The Chronicle Herald. Recently a feature film on her life, called Maudie, was released 2017 staring Sally Hawkins, playing Maud Lewis, and Ethan Hawke, who plays her husband Everett. The house she and her husband, Everett Lewis, lived in and where she painted, was later installed as part of a permanent Maud Lewis exhibit in the care of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.
