Drunk Driving: Alberta Highways

www.immigrantscanada.comDrunk Driving Test Dept: As of Canada Day, anyone driving with a blood alcohol level over .08 will have their licence suspended automatically as Alberta's new drunk driving legislation comes into effect. Sheriffs will be out in full force this July long weekend on Alberta highways, according to CBC. "I've taken a drunk driving test with the police in which they would give me a drinking test and then actually give me a breathalyzer," he said. "I can tell you from my own experience at .08 you feel pretty hammered and I don't think anyone has any business operating any vehicle above .08." Drivers are being reminded to take extra care on the roads over the long weekend. Alberta Justice Minister Jonathan Denis says the law is there for a reason. (www.immigrantscanada.com).
