"When you look at the first half of last year, the market was extremely busy and driven largely by mainland Chinese and Chinese immigrant investment," said Elton Ash, regional vice-president, Re/ Max of Western Canada and canada's housing market is off to a strong start this year, with Vancouver prices higher marginally from the same period in 2011.
