Police Investigation Dept: There had been a suggestion by the province's chief coroner of the day that there would be a public inquest after a police investigation of the death. But with the decision being made for a two-phase inquiry into the death the then- chief coroner decided no further public interest would be served by an inquest, according to Montreal Gazette. The coroner conducting the investigation into Dziekansi's death will still complete a report, which will be made public this year and vANCOUVER - A coroner's inquest will not be held into the tragic death of Polish immigrant Robert Dziekanski, who died in 2007 after being Tasered and restrained by four RCMP officers at Vancouver International Airport.
